We take children's privacy very seriously and have designed our app to collect the absolute minimum data necessary.
Welcome to PehlaAkshar ("we," "us," "our," or "the App"). PehlaAkshar is a completely free phonics-based early reading application developed to help children aged 4 to 7 years learn to read using the proven Jolly Phonics methodology.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use our mobile application available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
PehlaAkshar requires no account creation, no login, no registration, and no personal information to use. The app works fully offline after installation.

🛡️ Our Commitment: PehlaAkshar is committed to protecting the privacy of children. We have designed our app to store only what is absolutely necessary for the learning experience — and everything stays on your device.
PehlaAkshar is designed for children aged 4 to 7 years. The App should be downloaded, installed, and set up by a parent or legal guardian. Children do not independently create accounts or provide any personal information to us.
By using this App, the parent or legal guardian provides consent for the storage of the child's first name and age on the device only, and the storage of the child's learning progress on the device only. No information is transmitted to our servers.
PehlaAkshar contains absolutely no advertisements — no banner ads, no video ads, no interstitial ads, no rewarded ads. There are no third-party advertising SDKs in the app. We will never show advertisements to children.
PehlaAkshar does not require any account creation, email address, phone number, or login of any kind. A parent simply enters the child's first name and age during setup — this information never leaves the device.
PehlaAkshar does not include any social networking features, chat, user-generated content sharing, or any feature that would allow children to interact with strangers or share personal information publicly.
📱 Everything stays on your device. PehlaAkshar stores data only locally on your device. We do not have servers that receive or store your child's information under normal app operation.

If the app crashes, your device's operating system may generate an anonymous crash report. This contains only technical information (device type, OS version, app version, error details). It does not include any personal information about the child or parent. This is standard behavior on all mobile apps and is handled by Google Play / Apple App Store infrastructure.
If you contact us for support via email, we collect your email address and the details you provide. This is used only to respond to your inquiry and is deleted after the issue is resolved.

Since the app operates fully offline and stores data only on your device, there is no personal data being transmitted to us in the first place.
We may disclose information if required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the safety of any person.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we will notify users before any change in data handling practices takes effect.
By downloading the app, you interact with Google Play Store or Apple App Store, which may collect standard distribution data (download counts, device type) as per their own privacy policies. We do not control or receive personal information through this process.
All child data (name, age, avatar, progress, stars, streak) is stored exclusively on the user's device using secure local storage. This data never leaves the device during normal app operation. There are no PehlaAkshar servers receiving this data.
Since we do not store personal data on our servers, the risk of a server-side data breach is eliminated. In the unlikely event of any security incident affecting users, we will notify affected parties within 72 hours as required by applicable law.
All data stored about your child is visible directly within the app in the Parent Dashboard section. There is no hidden data.

📢 Minimal Third-Party Involvement: PehlaAkshar does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, social login SDKs, or tracking tools. The app is deliberately kept clean of unnecessary third-party dependencies.
Used only for app distribution. These platforms operate under their own privacy policies. We do not receive personal user data through app distribution.
Standard device services (audio playback, local storage, screen display) are used as provided by Android/iOS. No additional tracking or analytics frameworks are included.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, it is retained only as long as the app is installed on that device. When you uninstall the app, all data is permanently and automatically deleted.
We do not retain any personal data on our servers because we do not receive it in the first place.
Support emails are retained for up to 1 year to help resolve follow-up issues, then permanently deleted.
